April 19 - 23, 2004

Secretaries Week April 19-23, 2004).

ONLINE or by mailing in your
pre-printed ORDER FORM
(see instructions below).
We'll deliver to
your office for $3.00 (on orders of 3 or more plants, inside
Kerrville city limits). Deadline for orders is
April 9th, 2004. Orders can be picked up at American
Self Storage, 729 Country Club Drive, behind Taco Casa on
Sidney Baker.
We're
offering these florist-quality blooming and foliage
plants:

soft, hairy leaves and loose sprays of purple
flowers, in a basket)

Spring Plant Sale:
In the past we have held a spring plant sale which included
pre-orders for landscape, garden, and house plants and also an
on-site sale at our property. This year we will be taking
pre-orders but will not have the on-site sale.
Orders must be in by
April 6, 2004. Pick up will be made at the home of
Judy Phillips. Please call the Humane Society for further
information at 830-367-7722. Interested persons should

Celebration of Animals:
Saturday, May 22, 2004

The annual Celebration of Animals
will be held on May 22, 2004, at Louise Hays Park in
Kerrville from 9 am to noon. The
Celebration will include a pet walk, demonstrations, vendors
including rescue groups, and CGC testing. |

SPECIAL ADOPTION DAY

"Home for the Holidays" |
|
The main purpose of this event is to find
"good quality permanent homes" for our older animals, some that
have been with us for a long time.
We will be open on Saturday, November 13th from 9am to 4pm for
the public to come in and see our special animals.
Although we have many younger animals, we are really stressing
taking an older dog or cat.
Older animals will bring much joy and friendship into your
lives
AND there will not be any
potty training,
chewing or digging,
litter box training, hyperactivity, etc. Older animals are already smart and know not to do that. They
just want someone to love them and pay attention to them and
they will have lots of love to give back...unconditional love.
Each animal is special to us, but our older ones hold a special
place in our hearts.
The holidays are a special time of sharing and for some a time
of loneliness. A four legged friend can bring an abundance of
friendship and joy into our lives. If you are looking for a
special friend, please come and visit our animals and perhaps
find that special one that you can take into your family and
make it
have a permanent "Home for the Holidays."
